The project started in the summer of '46 with
the purpose to completely disrupt the international music scene. After
several studio sessions it becomes clear that the recorded material was
such hot stuff, to make the all world go boom. The two decided then to
hide the master recordings and not to make them public till 3000. ZEUS!'
aim is to lavish a golden metal shower till that the masses won't be
ready to listen the content of the secret master. For mince lovers.
Members: Lucallisto III: arciliuto, belcanto, metal zone. Paolatzinger XVI: mazzuoli, triccheballacche, metal zone.
Thankfully
the bit about keeping the music a secret until the year 3000 fell
through somewhat so they will be touring the UK between the 25th and
31st of January 2014.
So far things are looking like this...
25/1 - tbc, London
26/1 - tbc
27/1 - tbc
28/1 - tbc
29/1 - tbc Leeds
30/1 - MelloMello, Liverpool
31/1 - The Flying Duck, Glasgow

The second is non other than double drumming, analogue synth triggering masterminds DEUX BOULES VANILLE!

drummers trigger analogue synth looping party riffs that'll move your
little foots whether you like or bloody well not.
After
having built, then painted their instruments with their four hands, IIBV
get busy dissolving the influences and the personnal goals of the two
members into a giant mayonnaise sauce including Grindcore
constructions, Techno, dub, improvisation, and creates a music that can
be referred to Tony Conrad as much as the last Rihanna radio hit, from
the local Crust band to Silver Apples. Simply, effectively, and without
pretending any special technical abilities, IIBV write their pieces
mathematically, considering accidents and chaos with the same attention
as the construction of a radio hit. This results in an idiotic music,
lonely, danceable, that fits as much in the pit, in a disco or at the
supermarket.

Buke & Gase // Critically acclaimed rhythmic melodious swing not swung pounding anti folk beauty riffage from Brooklyn, USA.
Formerly 'Buke and Gass'. Band members Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez are
noted for their use of handmade instruments such as the "toe-bourine;"
the "buke," a six-string former-baritone ukulele; and the "gase," a
guitar-bass hybrid.
Dyer and Sanchez had formerly been
bandmates in the post-punk noise group Hominid. The two started playing
together in earnest late 2007, and recorded their first EP in 2008.
They were signed to Brassland Records after Aaron and Bryce Dessner of
The National saw them playing a basement venue. In 2009, they were
featured on the NPR science program Radiolab and shortly thereafter,
recorded their first full-length album "Riposte" for which they toured
extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. In 2012 they released their
second EP "Function Falls." Their second full length "General Dome" was
released in January 2013.
The Harlequin Dynamite Marching Band
// The Harlequin Dynamite Band are made up of members of Stealing
Sheep, Barberos, a.P.A.t.T., King Twit, The Wizards of Twiddly, The
Weave, Dead Hedge Trio, The Long Finger Bandits, Sing For Your Supper,
White Blacula and a handle of other projects / side projects, and
wonderful chaps and chappesses who join them from time to time.
The
band were first amassed by Stealing Sheep drummer Lucianna Mercer in
the summer of '11 for a special performance for the annual colourful
carnival festivities of the Kazimier's Krunk Fiesta.
Based around
Lucy's adaptations of her own songs arranged for many drums and horns
with the aid of Simon Knighton and Martin Smith, the performance was
hailed a success and opened the doors for future mobile marching
movements.
The Harlequins' lineup, repertoire and existence has
shifted and shuddered, expanded and become more vivid and distinctive
over the last few years, taking their unique blend of melodious, tribal,
krunked out party grooves to venues and spaces all over Liverpool,
whether in guerrilla busking maneuvers or cramming onto stage at various
events in the city. The band also made more 8 appearances at Festival
no.6 last summer, leading the parade every night, along with many rogue
performances in various nooks and crannies of the festival over the
weekend.
The band released their new single "JONAH" on Kazimier
Records in May this year and have been cruising around to various
festivals this summer with Stealing Sheep.
DJ Isocore
// One of the founding fathers of UPITUP Records, Isocore will be
gracing our ears with his own selection of summertime slammers, fruity
as fook floor fillers and electro mood elevators.
Zs // Easily one of the most influential groups of the past decade, ZS have
been delivering mind-boggling noise, ambient, math, metal, minimalism,
jazz... you name it....for the past 13 years and it's an honour to be
bringing them to Liverpool.
Zs was founded in 2000 and has
existed as a trio, sextet, and quartet, now solidifying into the trio
formation of Sam Hillmer, Patrick Higgins, and Greg Fox. Zs is primarily
concerned with making music that challenges the physical and mental
limitations of both performer and listener. Manipulating extended
technique, unique instrumental synthesis, and near telepathic
communication, Zs aims to create works that envelop the listener and
unfold sonically over time, evoking unspoken past, present, and future
rites and ritual.
Supporting Zs is Liverpool's own doom-jazz group The Royal Wedding and London based drone artists BLACKHOoDS.
Booze and coffee and booze in coffee...maybe even booze in tea if you

Following the split of Leeds post-punk / afrobeat outfit CISSY in June
2011, in the weeks following their live BBC session and subsequent radio
play on BBC 6 Music, three ex-Cissy members Matt Dixon, Gav Montgomery
and Matthew Woodward formed the band AZORES in Leeds in July 2011.
AZORES played their first show in October 2011, sharing the stage with
Zun Zun Egui (Bristol) and Runners (Leeds).
Azores occupy a unique space somewhere between
afrobeat, psyche rock and post-punk, with influences ranging from the No
Wave movement pioneered in New York during the 1980s by bands such as
Liquid Liquid, James Chance and The Dance, to 1990s US bands Heroic
Doses and Golden, Afrobeat players such as Ebo Taylor, Victor Uwaifo and
Fela Kuti and Sublime Frequencies bands such as Group Inerane.
